The merger is to strengthen planning capabilities say Savills

Savills combines East of England planning departments

Savills has combined its teams in the East of England in a bid to strengthen planning capabilities.

The planning departments in Cambridge and Chelmsford have joined together to create a 15-strong discipline spanning Cambridgeshire, Essex, Suffolk, Norfolk, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Lincolnshire.

The team will work alongside its London colleagues to serve the A12 corridor into East London.

Head of Cambridge planning, Andy Moffat and a management group will oversee the department, while the team continues to operate from its Cambridge and Chelmsford offices, as well as those in Norwich, Peterborough and Lincoln.

“In reality our teams already worked very closely together – but the merger allows us to fully utilise the skills and experience we have at our disposal and gives us the best platform to make the most of the opportunities that face the region,” said Andy.
